OPTIONS

Danbulla Rainforest Adventure Ride
Experience the amazing Cathedral Fig tree, Crater lakes Mobo and Euramo and cycle under shady rainforest canopy. There are opportunities for a swim in Lake Tinaroo and associated creeks. Have morning tea at the beautiful Kauri Creek where cool, pristine water flows from the hills. The vegetation changes to more open eucalypt country before we exit at the Tinaroo Dam wall for a short walk and views of this impressive structure. We enjoy a light meal in the village before returning to Yungaburra.

Cycling distance – 35 kilometres

Lamb Ranges Circuit
This is an exhilarating ride into the Lamb Ranges. Road grade is steep and road base is formed gravel. This superb, but challenging ride offers absolute tranquility as you cycle though a variety of forest types in the World Heritage area to the north of Lake Tinaroo. We have an opportunity to walk to the Mt. Edith lookout which offers panoramic vistas to Mt. Bartle Frere – the highest mountain in Queensland. At the end of the ride we transfer back to your accommodation in Yungaburra.

Road grade – steep/challenging
Road surface – gravel
Cycling distance – 42 kilometres

Crater Lakes Circuit
Enjoy an easier pace and cycle on quiet back roads through outstanding rainforest and open farmland around Yungaburra. Visit and swim in our iconic volcanic crater lakes Eacham and Barrine and Malanda Falls. You also have the opportunity of walking the 3 km or 6 km circuit tracks of the Crater Lakes to marvel at the pristine rainforest before a picnic lunch and your transfer back to Yungaburra.

Road surface –  good gravel and bitumen
Cycling distance –  Today’s cycling distance is for you to choose but we cater for trip distances of between 25 km to 50km

Yungaburra rest day
Enjoy a rest a rest day around the beautiful village of Yungaburra. Your guide will meet you for an early morning stroll along the Peterson Creek Botanical and Wildlife Track to spot our unique Platypus and Tree Kangaroo. You can choose to have the balance of the day to yourself or arrange an alternative itinerary of your choice.

Millaa Millaa – Dairyland, Waterfall and Mamu Canopy Walkway
We arrange an early transfer from Yungaburra to Millaa Millaa about 45 km south. Enjoy a supported ride as we visit 7 magnificent waterfalls including the iconic Millaa Millaa Falls. We then cycle downhill through heritage listed rainforest to the unique Mamu Canopy Walkway before returning to our overnight accommodation at the the Millaa Millaa country pub.

Road grade – undulating/moderately challenging
Road surface –  bitumen
Cycling distance – approximately 50km

Old Palmerston Highway
This ride follows the Old Palmerston Highway between Millaa Millaa and Ravenshoe – the highest town in Queensland. The ride is mainly on quiet country roads through hilly dairy pasture lands. An extension ride for the adventurous is to branch off the Old Palmerston Highway after about 20km and cycle a further 40 km on maintained gravel through the superb, isolated Misty Mountains to the Mamu collection point. Accommodation for the night is at Woodleigh – a working cattle station on the banks of the Wild River.
